Conflicts Bring Doubt In Our Lives

Christian life doesn't mean that we will not have conflicts in our life. This conflict can occur in relationships, work, and friends. Conflict can be between parents and children. We are reminded of this from the book of Matthew 8:25 (NIV) The disciples went and woke him up, saying "Lord, save us we're going to drown!" This verse shows that even though the disciples have seen Jesus perform many miracles, they were still afraid that Jesus would let them drown. If you read farther in verse 26 And Jesus replied, "You of little faith, why are you so afraid?" Then He got up and rebuked the winds and the waves, and it was completely calm. The disciples knew in fact the miracles that Jesus could perform and because of the conflict of doubt in their hearts the disciples began to doubt Jesus. It is extremely important when we have conflict in our lives, we always keep our focus on Jesus. Jesus can calm the storms of life as well as the storms within our troubled hearts.

If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone. Romans 12:18 (NIV).

This doesn't tell us to avoid conflict, but learn to resolve the conflict appropriately as to not cause harm to others through our words or actions. It is important to always keep the peace.

God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea. Psalm 46:1-2 (NIV).
